Qualifications :

• WHMIS is considered an asset
• Occupational health and safety is considered an asset
• Must have a clean criminal police check.
• Regular attendance and punctuality are required.

Major Responsibilities :

• Responsible for supporting the resident visitors both for indoor and outdoor visits on the main floor.
• Facilitating video calls from resident's rooms
• Assistance with meals and hydration
• Performs light housekeeping duties (e.g. tidy room, clean closets, hang clothing)
• Engages in meaningful tasks that do not encompass direct personal care
• Accompanies Resident when walking
• Assists with puzzles & activities
• Facilitates participation in Recreation Therapy Programs
• Accompanies resident to resident outdoor spaces
• Assists Resident to dining room; puts on clothing protector; cuts up food (with direction from care staff)
• Answers call bells
• Greet, screen and engage with individuals entering the facility to ensure their attendance at the site is essential and or scheduled.
• Accompany residents to and from indoor / outdoor family visits and support residents / families with infection prevention and control measures
• Supervise resident / family visits from a distance and monitor for compliance with infection control requirements.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Salary : $16.50 per hour
