The Role :

Here at Survitec, we are currently recruiting for a Apprentice Service Technician to join our Marine team based in Vancouver.

Key responsibilities for the Apprentice Service Technician role include but are not limited to :

• Unpack, test, weigh, and repackage safety products.
• Inspect and maintain first aid kits to ensure functionality and compliance.
• Complete assigned MES (Marine Evacuation Systems) deployments / exchanges to meet service targets.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance products and processes.
• Document and submit inspection and test results for administrative processing.
• Contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on personal and professional growth.

About You : Essential criteria :

Essential criteria :

• Experience in mechanical, maintenance, or electrical roles.
• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Valid BC Driver’s License and government-issued passport.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong commitment to meeting work schedules.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed.
• Ability to obtain a government-controlled Port Pass and meet Marine Transportation Security Clearance (MTSC) requirements.
• Flexibility to work weekends when required (., when cruise ships or ferries are in port).
• Availability to work overtime as necessary to meet service, maintenance, or repair deadlines.
• Attendance at deployments / exchanges is mandatory unless permission to be absent has been obtained.
