We are currently seeking a Community Classroom Teacher / Instructor for 2024-2025 Academic Year at our Nanaimo location

Summary of position : This position is ideal for educators who are interested in teaching a single or multi-grade class for 21 days in the year (7 days per term).

Community Class Teachers plan and teach a thematic-based unit with a different focus each term, assess student learning, and communicate with Home Learning Support Teachers and parents through Term Summaries.

Interested applicants should enjoy using hands-on and project-based learning methods and should work well in a team with other teachers and support staff.

QUALIFICATIONS : Community Class Teachers / Instructors can be certified by the B.C. Teachers Regulation Branch or the Office of the Inspector of Independent Schools.

Non-certified, experienced educators will also be considered. Community Class Teachers must also be Christian and must agree with RCOA’s Statement of Faith.

Non-certified individuals will work under the mentorship of a certified teacher.

Experience : Experience and education related to working with students in Online Learning and project-based learning is an asset but not required.
