Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Cabinet Millworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in crafting custom cabinets, understanding woodworking techniques, and operating various machinery and tools used in cabinet making.

This role requires a high level of precision, creativity, and the ability to work from detailed drawings and specifications to produce high-quality custom cabinetry.

Key Responsibilities :

• Cabinet Construction : Build custom cabinets from start to finish, including cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing wooden components.
• Blueprint Reading : Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate construction and installation.
• Material Selection : Select appropriate wood types and materials based on project requirements and client preferences.
• Machinery Operation : Operate and maintain woodworking machinery such as saws, routers, sanders, and jointers.
• Quality Control : Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring all dimensions and finishes meet specifications and client expectations.
• Customization : Incorporate unique design elements and modifications based on client requests.
• Installation : Assist with the installation of finished cabinets at client locations, ensuring proper fit and function.
• Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaboration : Work closely with other team members, including designers, project managers, and clients, to ensure project success.

Qualifications :

• Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in custom cabinet making or a related field.
• Education : High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in woodworking or carpentry is preferred.
• Technical Skills : Proficient in the use of woodworking tools and machinery. Strong understanding of woodworking techniques and joinery.
• Attention to Detail : Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Physical Stamina : Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
• Problem-Solving : Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the construction process.
• Communication : Good communication skills with the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Team Player : Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with others to achieve project goals.
