- Ensures integrity of the physical count of the in-house inventory in accordance with FAMM.
- Completes a minimum of four (4) cyclical counts per year; one full count per quarter.
- Counts all pre-designated high dollar items, prepares research and reports these counts. Notifies proper personnel of problems that may occur when adjusting these items.
- Researches receiving packets returned to Inventory Control from Accounts Payable. Prepares and reports to Inventory Control Manager any errors that may have occurred.
- Reviews and adjusts all damage reports given to Inventory Control by Operations and compares those reports with actual damage in warehouse.
- Researches and corrects possible shipping problems reported to Inventory Control.
- Comply with all applicable regulations / laws and company policies
- Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Sysco’s Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.
- Assist Food Safety Program Manager in ensuring compliance to Sysco’s Food Safety Program that leads to compliance with third party certification and customer requirements.
- Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
- Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
- Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Skills / Job Requirements (About you) :
- 1-year warehouse, inventory control, merchandising experience or related experience, but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic PC Skills. Ability to work in a Microsoft Environment beneficial.
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
