Role Description

Our client is looking for a full-time on-site Dispatcher to join their transportation company located near Hamilton Ontario.

The experienced generalized dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation services, communicating with drivers and customers, and ensuring efficient transport operations.

Area-savvy : You have an excellent knowledge of the road networks in the region and surrounding area

Technical skills : You master the Office tools as Word and Excel and your five years plus of experience in a similar position in dispatching makes you an expert

Team oriented : You have a great team spirit and excellent communication skills

Resistance to stress : You know how to manage emergencies and establish priorities. You always have a solution ready to deal with the unexpected

Critical thinking / Problem solving skills : extreme attention to detail

Time Management : Prioritizing your day and ensuring all tasks are completed on time

Multitasking : Ability to switch tasks multiple times with ease

Strong communication in English : Written and verbal

Qualifications

• Familiarity with samara or ELD programs an asset
• Knowledge of cross boarder trucking
• At least 5 years experience in dispatching is required
• Dispatch knowledge in multiple areas of transportation
