We are hiring for an experienced baker specializing in Asian bread / buns.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Developing new Asian-style baked goods including bread and buns
• Proofing dough to establish a proper rise
• Ensuring every product meets the standard operating procedures of the brand
• Ensuring the workstation is restocked and cleaned as needed
• Decorating baked goods using a pastry bag
• Measuring ingredients to prepare batters, doughs, fillings, or whipped cream using scales
• Maintaining adequate supply of all products and ensuring the proper storage and refrigeration
• Keeping spoilage / waste to a minimum by utilizing proper quantities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to develop new baked goods and pastries
• Ability to work under strict deadlines
• Knowledge of general baking principles and understanding of a wide variety of recipes
• Excellent knowledge of food safety practices
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills to assist in the day-to-day operations within the bakery
• Knowledge to effectively operate standard foodservice equipment
• Self-motivated
• Multi-tasking
• Planning, problem solving, and teamwork

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 1 year baking experience in an Asian bakery
