UPM Raflatac Canada are seeking a skilled and motivated Finishing Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess significant expertise, be eager to learn, and be committed to supporting our operation processes.

The role involves maintaining and improving equipment to ensure optimal performance and a high level of operational efficiency.

What you will do

You will operate production lines and equipment safely and in accordance with specifications, schedules, safety targets, and quality standards.

Close supervision is provided, job is highly based on routines

  • You will troubleshoot standard day-to-day shop floor problems pertaining to equipment, machines, raw materials, and design
  • You will load materials into production systems in a timely and efficient manner and operate automation and production control systems
  • You will be responsible for cleaning production equipment and work areas to ensure adherence to health and safety requirements

Who you are

  • You have finished any combination of education and experienced equivalent to High School education and 1-2 years work experience in an industrial setting
  • You have previous work experience in paper / paper converting industry or experience working with web-handling equipment desired.
  • You are able to work well within a team required
  • You have well-developed problem solving skills, including the ability and willingness to apply a systematic approach to the process
  • You are computer-literate
  • You have basic mechanical knowledge
  • You have good oral and written communication skills, and the ability understand and adhere to written work instructions
