Description

A Licensed Insolvency Trustee firm in Toronto is hiring an experienced Insolvency Estate Manager to deal with all elements of consumer proposal and bankruptcy administration.Position Summary :

The Insolvency Estate Administrator will be fully responsible for complete administration of estates including preparation of sign-up documents, filings with the Official Receiver, administration until full completion of the consumer proposal or discharge of the bankrupt.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Preparation of sign-up documents;
  • Filing new estates and all estate administration forms;
  • Preparation of creditor packages;
  • Issuing stay of proceeding notices;
  • Reviewing proofs of claim;
  • Drafting disallowances of proofs of claim;
  • Reviewing voting letters and proxies;
  • Drafting minutes of meetings of creditors;
  • Monitoring rejection or acceptance of proposals;
  • Monitoring performance of proposals and drafting annulment notices as required;
  • Realization of vested assets and release of secured or third-party asset;
  • Drafting of section 170 reports;
  • Preparing automatic discharge certificates;
  • Communicating with debtors and creditors;
  • Follow-up on items returned unpaid; and
  • General correspondence.

Requirements

Education :

  • Completed the BIA Administrators Course
  • BIA Counselor

Qualifications / Experience :

  • Five years’ experience as an Estate Administrator
  • Experience in MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook and Ascend
