Willard Meats International Ltd. is looking for an Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Oakville, ON.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities :

o Providing routing and transportation services

o Tracking all shipments to ensure on time delivery

o Having knowledge of what steamship lines, truckers, drayage companies handle certain lanes and pick up locations

o Understanding what type of transportation services to use and when

o Checking customer credit

o Entering daily information in transportation software system and order spreadsheet

o Responsible to follow up with carriers and supplier / load facilities

o Negotiate rates and identify opportunities to reduce costs

o Communicating any additional costs

o Providing excellent customer service to all involved parties

o Complying with SOPs and BRC Global Standards

o Report non-conformances and non-compliance issues of third-party service providers

o Having knowledge and understanding of pricing trends / availability, supply chain demand, customer knowledge, and country requirements

o Building strong relationships with all involved parties in the shipment transaction

o General office duties and all other tasks assigned

Requirements :

o Bachelor’s degree / college diploma in related field

o Customs and agriculture experience

o Food industry knowledge

o Transportation experience

o 1-2 years in logistics role / related field

o Effective communication skills

o Effective problem-solving skills

o Quick learner, motivated to continuously develop and grow

o Flexible, ability to adapt to change

o Fluency in English and Spanish
