The Opportunity :

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our production plant in Varennes, Quebec, within the Industry & Water segment.

This permanent role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of key equipment through the implementation of preventive maintenance programs, work request planning systems, parts inventory management, and thorough inspection processes.

What You’ll Be Doing :

• Maintaining preventive and corrective maintenance schedules and managing SAP master data.
• Planning and coordinating resources to maximize the efficiency of the Maintenance department, including issuing work orders, purchasing materials and parts, and managing inventory.
• Overseeing the management of the change process.
• Participating in the implementation of Kemira's process safety standards, including process risk analysis, pre-startup safety assessments, safe operating procedures, and safe operating limits.
• Ensuring adherence to Kemira standards and industry best practices.
• Acting as a technical resource for maintenance personnel and leading the maintenance team.
• Maintaining and improving the 5S system.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful :

• A minimum of three (3) years of combined experience in maintenance and industrial planning, ideally within a chemical manufacturing environment.
• A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or chemical engineering, or equivalent business management skills in the chemical industry.

Relevant planning or maintenance experience may substitute for a degree in engineering.

• Knowledge of SAP software is a plus.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD software is an asset.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required.
