Position : Marketing and Communications Assistant (Canada Summer Jobs)

Hours of Work : 35 hours per week

Duration : 8 weeks

Reports to : Marketing and Communications Specialist

Position Summary :

Provides support in creating and managing compelling multi-channel content to build and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers, partners and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities :

  • Supports marketing and communications and fundraising activities.
  • Assists with social media content creation and management (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Coordinates external communications to clients, caregivers, donors and others, including e-newsletters, website content, and annual report
  • Coordinates internal communications to staff
  • Creates graphic designs in Canva as needed to support program and event marketing, following branding guidelines
  • Assists with other administrative duties

Education :

Post-secondary education in progress in Communications, journalism

Qualifications :

  • Experience in marketing and communications, with a focus on creating and writing content
  • Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of digital media and other social media platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple projects, identify priorities and meet deadlines
  • Verbal and written knowledge of Cantonese, Mandarin or Tamil is an asse

Requirements :

To be eligible, applicants must be :

  • between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
  • a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
