Responsibilities :

• Maintain carriage of power of sale files from beginning to end
• Preparation of demand letters, default judgment, motion records and writs of possession, discharge statements, and other related documents
• Communicate with debtors regarding resolutions, as required
• Preparing and sending document requests to client as required
• Review title searches
• Review file and escalate concerns to lawyer
• Produce the highest quality of work
• Accountable for all work assigned

Requirements :

• Law Clerk Diploma
• Minimum 2-5 years previous experience as a Mortgage Enforcement Law Clerk
• Strong knowledge of the power of sale process in Ontario
• The ability to effectively balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Successful completion of a related post-secondary education program in a law clerk program

We are looking for an experienced Mortgage Enforcement Law Clerk, for a full-time, permanent position, to join our dynamic and growing firm in servicing our financial institution clients.

The successful candidate should have strong knowledge of the mortgage enforcement power of sale process.

The ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational talent along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize. This is a good position for someone who is detailed oriented, a self-starter with excellent technical skills and has the ability to work both within a team and independent environment.

A great attitude and emphasis on client experience are essential.
