Brandt Tractor is currently seeking a Pre-Delivery Inspection Technician for our Regina location. These technicians are responsible for warranty repairs on equipment and preparing all Brandt Tractor product lines for delivery to customers or for product demos.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Performing full pre-delivery inspections on machines prior to delivery to the customer

Performing routine mechanical duties as well as assembly, maintenance, and minor repair of equipment.

Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of heavy-duty mobile equipment , including :

Diesel engine and engine support systems

Transmissions

Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Differentials and final drives

Steering, suspension, and brake systems

Electrical / electronic systems

Structural components

Heating and cooling systems

Machine operation and control systems

Fluid and fuel systems

Use testing instruments, hand, air, and electric tools correctly in assembly, maintenance, repair, and inspection

Use secondary materials and equipment safely , such as rigging, welding equipment, and cleaning / pressure washers

Safely operate and road test equipment and check attachment operation as required .

Ensure all work is performed safely, including the safe disposal, storage, or recycling of hazardous materials.

Use computer applications and information systems in maintenance, inspection, and parts ordering

Document assembly process and report time on work orders accurately and completely

Perform any additional work requested / required to meet the needs of PDI, Sales, Service, and their customers

Complete assigned Brandt and OEM training modules to continually increase knowledge and skill set

Previous experience with John Deere heavy equipment would be considered an asset

Ability to lift 50 Lbs.

Required Experience

Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred but will consider Agriculture or Mechanic experience as well

Preference will be given to applicants with Journeyman certificate, but not required

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and must be able to work shift work.
