Required Skills / Training :

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Certification in Early Childhood Education (Level 1, 2 or 3) will be considered an asset.
• Educational Assistant, Personal Care Aide or similar related areas and / or related experience would be considered an asset.
• Training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention would be considered an asset.
• Experience with, and ability to handle, high needs children with a variety of emotional needs would be considered an asset.
• Experience with, and ability to handle, the needs of Elementary aged children would be considered an asset.
• Based on the needs of individual students, ability to provide assistance in occupational therapy, physical therapy, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring and transportation could be required.
• First Aid / CPR would be considered an asset.
• Possess a current and valid driver’s license.

Requirements :

• Familiarity and understanding of the practices of the Roman Catholic Faith
• Recent (within 6 months) Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check upon employment
