Job Title : Security Officer - Canada Region

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR SECURITY CLEARANCE THE CANDIDATE WILL NEED TO BE A CANADIAN RESIDENT FOR A MINIMUM OF 10 YEARS.

Job Description :

• Controlled Goods Program mandatory training - exam involved to be granted Designated Official by Government of Canada. As a company, we would not be allowed into the program without this being completed by myself.
• Contract Security Program - must pass Top Secret clearance to be granted Company Security officer by Government of Canada
• Investigate all employees that require access to the Controlled Goods Program by conducting reference checks, financial information, group affiliations, travel history.
• Grant access to the controlled goods program for individuals who I as a designated official, deem no threat to the work will be conducting.
• Security assessments must be written up for all approved and declined personnel to testify in front of the court if any security breaches occur.
• Review all contracts with security requirements to ensure and Tyco have the correct credentials in place to work on reliability, secret or top-secret contracts.
• Prepare a Security plan for each military site we currently work on.
• Sponsor sub-contractors into the Contract Security Program to enable us to work with them on job sites.
• Conduct security checks on all employees who require access to Military sites and other Government sites that require security clearance to work on.
• Ensure buildings and or IT applications are following the Contract Security Guidelines issued by the Government of Canada.

Inspections with the Contract authorities take place regularly. We must pass these to be authorized to work on specific jobs.

• Ensure all personnel and subcontractors working on secured sites hold the correct clearance for that contract and those security requirements.
• Work with IT and Program managers across North America to ensure all ERPs, SharePoint sites etc are protected and that our Canadian Data is not being accessed by other employees in other countries.
• Conduct audits to ensure no security breaches are occurring throughout the country.
