Job Overview :

The Mini Skid Steer Driver is responsible for operating and maintaining mini skid steer loaders in a safe and efficient manner.

This role involves using the equipment for tasks such as moving materials, grading surfaces, digging, and performing various construction or landscaping duties.

The driver must have a solid understanding of how to operate the machine safely while maintaining productivity and ensuring the job site is hazard-free.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Operate mini skid steer loaders : Safely and efficiently maneuver the machine to perform tasks like lifting, digging, grading, and moving materials.
  • Load and unload materials : Transport soil, gravel, debris, and other construction or landscaping materials on job sites.
  • Site preparation : Use the mini skid steer to prepare job sites by leveling terrain, digging trenches, or clearing debris.
  • Basic maintenance : Perform daily checks and routine maintenance (checking fluid levels, inspecting tires, cleaning the machine) to ensure proper operation and reduce downtime.
  • Safety compliance : Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure the skid steer is operated in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team : Communicate with supervisors, project managers, and other crew members to ensure the timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and report issues : Identify operational issues or hazards with the skid steer and report them to supervisors for quick resolution.

Qualifications :

  • Experience : Previous experience operating mini skid steers or similar heavy equipment is required.
  • Knowledge : Understanding of skid steer operation, machine capabilities, safety regulations, and construction or landscaping best practices.
  • Physical ability : Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift / move materials as required.
  • Communication skills : Ability to follow directions and work effectively with a team.

The salary is negotiable depending on experience
