Job Summary

J.B. Enterprises is hiring a Sidewalk clearing Crew member for the following winter season.

This position requires the successful applicant to work on an on-call basis with irregular hours through the winter months.

Applicants must be available and committed to within 45 minutes of being called out at all times of the day and night.

As a snow shoveler, you will play a crucial role in keeping our clients’ properties safe and snow-free during the winter months.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Must be on-call and available 24 / 7 for snow and ice events. NOV1 - APR1
• Clear and maintain walkways, and curb lines, using shovels .snow blowers or sidewalk plows
• Clear and / or pile snow in designated areas.
• Document and report any obstacles, potential hazards, and snow and ice control problems at properties.
• Able to lift 40-50 lbs and apply salt to sidewalk areas
• Ensuring that all work is performed efficiently and to the highest standards.
• Working independently or part of a team, depending on the size and scope of the job.
• Adhering to safety guideline and protocols at all times and communicating with supervisors.

Requirements :

• Driver's licence and own transportation to our shop
• Ability to work in cold weather conditions for extended periods
• Physical stamina and strength to shovel heavy snow
• Attention to detail to ensure thorough snow removal
• Reliable transportation to travel to different work sites
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Experience :

Snow Removal : 1 year (preferred)

Note : This is a seasonal position dependent on weather conditions, and can lead to full time employment in spring of 2025

Job Types : Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length : 5 months

Pay : $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours : 10 40 per week
