Job Summary :

Our client is seeking an experienced and licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of trucks and heavy equipment.

This full-time position offers steady hours, year-round work, great pay, and benefits.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform inspections, diagnostic tests, troubleshooting, and general vehicle repairs on trucks and heavy equipment.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance services and repairs as required.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Perform emergency service calls for breakdowns and repairs in the field.
  • Manage work orders, assist in cost tracking, and handle invoice reconciliation for repairs and third-party services.
  • Oversee fleet health, track truck downtime, and plan upcoming repairs.
  • Maintain an organized and well-stocked shop with necessary parts to ensure trucks stay mobile.
  • Collaborate with managers to discuss budgets, maintenance needs, and fleet management.
  • Work in compliance with Company Health and Safety policies and the Ontario Health and Safety Act (OHSA) standards.
  • Keep detailed and organized records of services, repairs, and ongoing projects.

Qualifications :

  • Must be a licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician.
  • Minimum experience with trucks like Mack, Western Star, Freightliner, and Peterbilt.
  • Experience with heavy equipment such as CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, and Liebherr is an asset.
  • Experience with welding, hydraulic systems, stone slingers, pump trucks, and boom trucks is an asset.
  • Must possess a valid G driver’s license with a clean driving record; AZ or DZ license is considered an asset.
  • Must have own hand tools and tool box.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer skills, particularly with email and Microsoft Excel, are an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain cleanliness and safety in the shop.
