What we expect
Your responsibilities
- Accountable for working safely and ensure that all work is conducted in compliance with health and safety policies and legislation
- Follow safe operating procedures and advise supervisor of potential hazards
- Responsible for incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying shipment accuracy, completeness and condition
- Inventory control of all boxes, materials, shop supplies and stock
- Packing shipments where some assembly may be required
- Process materials including shearing, circling, tube cutting, etc.
- Prepare vehicle for delivery, verifying all items are securely loaded and protected from the elements and all accompanying paperwork is available
- Operate vehicle to transport material to site & branches.
- Manage remote communications via telephone; follow instructions and provide status updates
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including documenting daily inspections and ensuring safety equipment, straps and paperwork are in place
Who we are looking for
Your qualifications
- High school diploma and / or equivalent work experience, coupled by rigging and forklift experience
- Must hold a valid G license
- Overhead crane experience would be considered an asset
- A minimum of one-year related experience in a warehouse environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with others
- Ability to handle competing priorities and manage time effectively
