Who we are looking for :

We are currently searching for a Warehouse Supervisor for our Mississauga, Ontario, Canada location. Reporting to the Vice President of RSC, the Warehouse Supervisor directs and manages the operations of our distribution centres, and the personnel at that location.

This position will coordinate Warehouse activities through the RSC

leadership team to ensure distribution objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner with safety in mind.

What you’ll do :

  • Actively oversee daily purchasing, to include raw material management; and warehousing operations, to include, inventory management
  • Responsible for overall inventory management with continuous improvements through safe operating practices, product availability, waste reduction, cost-saving initiatives, and cultural breakthroughs
  • Own, manage, and supervise teams responsible for the supply chain and procurement of materials in support of production processes and inventory warehouse functions
  • Support Manufacturing Supervision responsible for hourly Shipping personnel
  • Communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, and appraise job results; coach, counsel, and discipline employees, when appropriate;

initiate, coordinate, and challenge systems, policies, and procedures

  • Develop and drive transformational enhancements to Packing and Shipping tools, processes, and methods, to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity
  • Manage the Cycle Count process, and actively implement process improvements
  • Adhere and follow to all other Atkore policies, such as harassment, free workplace of Drug and alcohol, Respect and Harassment, etc.
  • Demonstrate Atkore / Sasco Core Values Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, Excellence.
  • Other duties as required.

What you’ll bring :

  • Bachelors in business, logistics, or related field, or extensive manufacturing management experience as an equivalency
  • years’ relevant working experience
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company
  • Proven knowledge of purchasing within an ERP system
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, both written and verbal
